Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.
About Me
I'm not your stereotypical therapist and that's intentional. I'm easygoing, direct, and I bring my own brand humor and personality into every session. Therapy doesn't have to feel stiff or clinical, and I work hard to make sure it doesn't.
I've been working in substance use disorder treatment across all levels of care since 2013. Long before I became a licensed therapist. Over a decade of ground-level experience shapes everything about how I show up for clients. I earned my Associates Degree in Addictive Disorders Studies at Oxnard College, I completed my BSW at Brandman University, and my MSW at the University of Massachusetts Global in 2022, bringing both lived wisdom and academic training to my practice.
Every client is different, and I believe every approach should be too. I get to know you as a person first and I let you get to know me, too.
My Journey
My path to becoming a therapist wasn't linear, it was real. I came up as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, doing meaningful work every day, but eventually I wanted to do more, reach more people, and go deeper. So I went back to school.
16+
Years of personal sobriety.
My own road to recovery wasn't easy, but I've built a life on it that I wouldn't trade for anything. That experience doesn't just inform my work. It is my work.

How I Work
I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, always tailored to what each individual needs. No two people are the same, and cookie-cutter therapy doesn't work.

What I Believe
"Be the change you want to see in the world."
— Gandhi · A reminder that wellness is ours to build
I've been fortunate to have people extend grace and patience to me without rushing to judgment and I bring that same spirit into every room. I come as a humble, willing learner. I don't have all the answers, but I show up with genuine compassion and a commitment to treating every person with the kindness that was freely given to me.
My background has been privileged in many ways and I hold that with humility. I'm always working to grow, to listen, and to understand experiences that are different from my own.
